What is BOTOX®?

BOTOX®, a prescription medication, is a purified protein that is used to inject certain facial muscles and improve the look of moderate to severe “frown lines” between the brows (glabellar lines). BOTOX® has been used in 11.8 million cosmetic procedures, and is the most popular of all physician administered non-surgical aesthetic procedures for the last seven years. It is the only FDA approved product of its kind.

How does BOTOX® work?

BOTOX® works by blocking nerve impulses, this then reduces muscle activity that can cause the “frown lines” between the brows (glabellar lines).

When will I see visible results, and how long will they last?

Initial results will be seen within a few days; results continue to improve for up to 30 days, and can last up to 4 months. BOTOX® does not radically alter your facial appearance, you will still be able to frown or look surprised, but without the wrinkles!

Juvederm®

What is Juvederm®?

Juvederm® is the only hylauronic acid (HA) filler approved by the FDA to last up to one year. It is indicated for use in correcting facial wrinkles and folds, including the nasolabial folds (also known as “smiles lines”). Juvederm® comes in two formulations, (Juvederm® Ultra and Juvederm ®Ultra Plus), allowing more options for us to tailor treatment to your specific needs.

How does Juvederm® work?

Juvederm® is used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and add volume to facial tissue. It is a dermal filler, and works by doing just that, providing fullness and giving a smoother appearance to the face.

When will I see visible results, and how long will they last?

Results can be seen immediately with Juvederm®, and can last up to one year. Our Doctor can help you decide which formulation will work best for your situation and create a treatment plan specific to your needs.
