Dr. Andrew T. Meram

Dr. Meram is an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan.

Dr. Meram received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He then attended New York University where he obtained both his Masters Degree in Neurobiology and his Dental Degree. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Manhattan VA Hospital and then moved to Louisiana where he obtained his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed a General Surgery Internship and an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at LSU Health Shreveport in 2016.

After Residency, Dr. Meram expanded his scope of practice by completing a Fellowship in Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. He was Assistant Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Associate Director of the Head and Neck Oncology Fellowship at LSU for the last 5 years. He has since returned home to Michigan to continue his career near family and friends, and provide compassionate quality care to patients here.

His clinical practice includes wisdom teeth surgery, placing dental implants, head and neck cancer, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, and facial trauma and reconstruction. He has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of Oral Surgery topics and has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Head & Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery.

When he’s not at work he enjoys gardening and grilling with family and friends, and watching and attending both Michigan and Detroit sports!
